...MILESTONES...

Blake has been growing up so much...16 pounds is becoming quite the load to haul around!! I have no idea where the last (almost) four months have gone! I haven't recorded many of his milestones, so I thought I would compiled them before I forget.
  • Started Smiling: 3 weeks
  • First Laugh: 5 weeks on Mother's Day -- Best Mom Day present ever!!!
  • Started Talking: at 5 weeks or so he started cooing, since then, he's become quite the conversationalist! We'll have chats that last 10 minutes at a time, and I LOVE IT!! I also enjoy his sing-song-y sighs. Will he have the musicallity of his mama? Maybe so! He already loves to be sung to or just listen to music/the piano while playing.
  • We moved him from his bassinet to his crib a couple days shy of 2 months. Actually, he slept in our room for maybe 4 nights total. He was just SO loud, that we wheeled the bassinet out into the living room and shut the door. Don't worry, I could still hear him cry! But yeah, by 2 months, he kept crying when he'd smack his arms on the sides of his bed and baby bath. Just got too big!
  • Blake has been trying to hold up his head and do push-ups since the day his was born! He was almost two months old when he started holding his head up successfully.
  • He found his tongue at 2 months old, and it has been constantly licking and sticking out since!
  • He rolled tummy-to-back on June 11: 2 months + 6 days old!
  • Blake found his hands at about 2 1/2 months. He is getting really good at grabbing things and getting them into his mouth....hair, blankets, toys, grass, etc.
  • He was fed his first bowl of rice cereal at 3 months. I know it was a little early, but this kid eats like a ravenous wolf! I was hoping some cereal int he evening (well, besides in his bottle) would help him sleep all night. NOPE! Four hours later, and he's hungry again. At least he enjoys the cereal and is getting the hang of using a spoon.
  • For the last month, Blake LOVES to stand (with assistance) for up to 20 minutes! geeesh! Sometimes he gets reeeeeeeeally mad if I sit him down.
  • Speaking of getting mad, he's learning what he likes and doesn't and gets mad if he doesn't get his way! For example, he loves lights, and sometimes I let him watch the computer when I'm on. Yesterday I was uploading a video, and he was watching intently. As soon as the video stopped, because it wasn't completely loaded, he'd scream until it started again!! Am I a bad mom if I just laughed at him? What a kid :)
  • His newest feats are scooting on his tummy and trying to sit up, although he still needs help. At 3 months + 1 week, he'd flex his little abs to sit up if I had him reclining. Too bad he can't quite stay upright when he gets there, and I have to rescue him from his feet in his eyeballs.
  • Finally, this last week, Blake started to roll from his back-to-tummy! I'll have to keep an eye on this kid. He'll be on the move before I know it!

Laughing at Daddy while rockin the tie-dyed onesie from cub scouts! :) He is a daddy's boy, for sure!!

Something Blake can do that I CAN'T: I can't raise one eyebrow to save my life. But of course, fresh from the womb, and he can do both one-at-a-time! This guy has a steller stinkface!

Something Blake can do that Eric CAN'T: Touch his toes and look cute farting :)
