* DADDY'S BOY *

Blake is the biggest daddy's boy EVER! It halfway melts my heart and halfway makes me pull out my hair!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've seen kids have separation anxiety or prefer one parent, but I have never seen this intensity. Talk about complete hysteria when Eric leaves the room. I'm so happy he loves his daddy so much, but gosh darnit, it's making my mommy job DIFFICULT.Blake does still love me. He started saying "dada" about 3 weeks ago....well, "dada" and "Bob," even though I have no idea who/what that is! Anyway, last Wednesday (his 9 MONTH BIRTHDAY) he finally said "mama!"
Yep, our little lad is 9 months old :) He had his check-up today, and he's already his daddy's spitting image.....TALL and thin. Well, thin because he's burning lots of calories bein' on the move, but he's also been sick for the last week and a half. Blake + lost appetite? = NOT normal. He was 21 lbs. at 8 months, but only 20 lbs. 4 oz. today. He was a whopping 30 inches tall :) 93rd-percentileHe has a total of SEVEN teeth now, and he's growing right up before our eyes. Last month he started "giving 5" and clapping. He also finally got the crawling figured out, and he started pulling himself up to standing over the Christmas holiday.

Blake's also getting more stubborn or independent. Hello tantrums!! He has been boycotting the bottle. If we are eating food, he wants food too. Not milk, no silly bottles....food and drink from a cup. But, to make matters worse, he now wants to feed himself the food!

Blah! He may be making life more challenging, but he's as delightful and adorable as ever, even if he's not a mommy's boy :)
