Eric's eighth grade basketball boys wrapped up their season on Thursday. It's added some fun and variety to our winter :) I had to sneak a picture of him during one of the last games....lookin' good!!
We've had all kinds of new discoveries in the last week or two. First off, Blake has discovered waving bye-bye and shaking his head yes and no (mostly no--he thinks its hilarious!). Also, Blake has decided that the toilet, for some reason unseen by Mom, is a really fun toy. GROSSS!! I am constantly dragging him out of the bathroom....if only those old doors shut tight more than half the time!
Last weekend, I went into our basement only to discover our clothes dryer on fire! Now mind you, this lovely harvest gold dryer has been very good to us. It's the dryer Eric's parents got when they got hitched...35 years ago! What a trooper!! On President's Day we purchased a new fancy shmancy dryer---and washer. It's Eric's fault. I guess it was too good a deal to pass up :)

With the help of Candice and Carly, I discovered these awesome fingernails!! It's called marbling, and it is SO FUN! Google it for pictures and even instructional videos. All you need is 2 or 3 colors of nail polish, tape (so it doesn't get too messy), and a cup of cool water. It takes awhile until you get the hang of it, but each nail is a suprise!! Go try it. NOW!
I discovered I was selected to do the Spudman this July, and I've already registered and paid my dues! I'm excited to do an olympic triathalon, but a little nervous. It's a three part race 1.5k swim (1 mile), 10k run (6.2 miles), and 40k bike (25 miles)!! I've already started working out, and I had better look good in a swimsuit this summer! :D
Lastly, I discovered that I can actually make and frost a decent birthday cake! I had never really tried, but I buckled down and made this one for my Daddy's 48th birthday!!! Check out that technique.
hah! I need some practice, but I'm thrilled it wasn't a flop! Actually, it was a chocolaty delight! My Dad's birthday was yesterday, but today we're celebrating together in Burley!! Happy Birthday, Dad...I LOVE YOU!
