Our March
This month has flown by, and fortunately April will be a little more sane :) Regular life is plugging along with work, play, callings, and the rollercoaster of parenthood. Blake figured out stairs last a couple weeks ago! He randomly climbed up the stage stairs at my parents' house.
Grandma made sure he didn't fall and crack his head open. Since then, Blake will climb up and down entire flights of stairs with no problem! He thinks he's pretty cool. Last week we got a special visit from our dear friend Anne from Berlin, Germany! She was an exchange student and stayed with my family in 2007. She decided to come back to Idaho for a couple weeks, and on the 16th she hung out with Blake and me for a day. She's such a great girl, and Blake fell in love with her! That night she went back to Declo, and we went to AFHS for Donkey Basketball!! One word: HILARIOUS!! The 4 teams were students, teachers, alumni, and city officials. Those donkeys had minds of their own :)
This month has been full of glitter, glam, and other pageanty happenings. Power County had their Junior Miss/YW of Excellence/Distinguished YW program last night, and it went off without a hitch. I'm a host mom, and we've been practicing for a couple months. Last week alone we put in probably over 20 hours of rehearsals!! Geeesh! Here are our 15 enchanting ladies before showtime!
I was Adriana Mendez's host mom, and we had SO much fun! This was something entirely out of her comfort zone, and she made this momma so proud!!! She is such a sweet, spunky girl, and she had me laughing constantly. :) YOU GO, GIRL!!
....aaaand while I was keeping this lady curled and glitterfied, Eric was in Pocatello making this little purchase:
The Tahoe has become a money-pit the last couple of years, so we've been looking for a truck. We went test-driving in January and were floored by Ford's F-150's. They are SO CUSHY for the same price as a Chevy or GMC.
We stopped by Courtesy Ford to take a look-see, and they had just got in exactly what we'd spent two months looking for. It's a 2010 F-150 Lariat with all the bells and whistles (even though it was a "used" truck at 2,800 miles)!!
We got a great deal, and Blake likes it too! Happy Spring, everyone!
