Blake Monster :)

When did my little baby turn into a mischevious toddler?!? What a destructive, adorable busy-body!! He loves to dump over the garbage can, unload the laundry basket, play in dirt, throw my phone into the trash, empty the wipes (below), and pull out every outlet cover in the house. Did that baby-proofing do any good?BUSTED, buddy! This kid plays hard (and rough) and then crashes. We spent some time with Candice and the girls during state softball last weekend. Blake and Kaidence are still the best of buddies!
Last weekend, it really dawned on me. Boys and girls are DIFFERENT--even when they're teeny kids. Girls are full of giggles, imagination, loves, screaming, spunk, and drama. Boys are loud and rough....grunting, biting, ball throwing, wrestling, dog-terrorizing, yelling, kicking, stubborn, dirty boys. I LOVE MY BLAKE, but I'd be lying if I said my days didn't consist of chaos!! hehe!
We started time-outs this month. I'm not sure if it's working, but I enjoy the 2 minutes of alone time when I'm at the end of my rope. :) Other new things in the last couple months:
* Blake's increased vocabulary: dog, hi, fishy, ball, whoa, and num-num (food)
* He try cries and fake laughs and thinks it's pretty hilarious...aaaaand I guess it is!
* The kid cruises along walls and furniture like a pro.
* He took his first step on May 16th, but he's still timid about full-out walking.
* Blake is off the bottle! Sippy cup or grown-up cup only.
* He usually has his little pointer finger out showing us everything interesting in life.
* We have an independent boy!! If I spoon-feed him any food, he takes it out of his mouth just so he can feed himself.
* Blake loves cell phones (or anything that looks like them)....he puts them to his ear to "talk" to "dada."
* He's had 8 teeth for months, and that dang ninth tooth is almost through.
* Only 4 months and 1 week until NURSERY. I think that may be one of the best days of my life :)
* He's a parrot! He repeats everything we say or sound he hears.
* Blake is a climber! If he thinks he can conquer the mountain (couch), he will find a way.
He went up and across the couch like this for about a solid hour today! Whatta kid!

Hahahaha! I love him! Beka, can I steal him from you for a while? I may undo all your disciplining and hard work, but who cares, right? :D
