Right around the corner!!!

That's right! The Spudman Triathlon is THIS SATURDAY, and I'm shakin' in my boots!! I had been sticking to my training just great until this last month :( Blake walking + teething + sick + travel + more work = slacker! Also, the more I bike (and love it) the more I hate running. I biked the 25 miles bike route with my mom awhile back, and it's totally do-able. Biking has more air flow, more scenery, and it's easier on my poor joints. However, I did run my first race EVER last Saturday for AF's Pioneer Day Fun Run. It was a simple 5k and I completed both of my goals: 1. Don't stop & 2. Finish in under 40 mins. (yes, I'm still slow) I crossed the finish line just after 37 minutes and felt fine! Maybe next time I'll crank up my pace a bit. P.S. afterward, of course, I had to sample the fantastic food they have in the park for Pioneer Day. I mean, it's not right to burn that many calories without compensating with twice as many :)
We've had an eventful last week. First off, Eric got a NEW JOB!!!! He will be the loan officer at American Falls' Bank of Commerce! He is so excited to utilize his degree and passion for business and numbers. I am so proud of my honey, and he looks goooood in a suit. He starts training in August, and we're so thankful for this new adventure. I'm also thrilled that we get to stay here in A.F! I'm really enjoying this town and so is Blake :)
Holly graduated with her RN from BYU-I!!! GO HOLLY! She's such a sweet, smarty-pants. I'd have her as my nurse any day. On Thursday night, we went to Rexburg for her pinning. It was a neat ceremony, and the speakers were wonderful! I didn't get to hear all of it because I am the proud mother of a naughty little boy! Heaven help me!! He's been teething, sick, and just plain ornery. Today he's almost back to normal, thank goodness. Anyway, way to go, Holly!! We love our Aunt Huggy :)
On Sunday we went to Burley to hear my adorable Grandma and Grandpa Christensen give their mission farewell. They leaving next month to serve a mission in Finland! That's where Grandpa served in his youth, and I think they're both tickled to go back! Their talks were wonderful, and I love them so much. We had lunch at my parents' afterwards with lots and lots of relatives. I had a great time catching up! My mom and sisters had so much fun seeing us, that yesterday they came and spent the day shopping with me and Blake in Pocatello. I LOVE THOSE LADIES!! We had so much fun :) Old Christmas photo op:
The rest of this week will probably involve last-minute training, playing with my nieces coming tomorrow, and watching ALL the Harry Potter movies! I'm on the 3rd movie and won't see the last one until I've seen them all again! Good old Hogwarts :) Well, wish me luck on Saturday! I have a soar-throat-ear-ache-cold-thinger coming on, so I pray it holds off until after the race. I had a time goal, but I might just have to be happy with finishing.... ...and hopefully not peeing my pants.......or puking. heh. Seriously.
